Holiday Heroes

The days are longer and brighter and that just means one thing, summer is around the corner. Whether you’re spending your summer days in the UK or somewhere with a bit more sunshine here are some quick ideas that go with everything making it easier when it comes to packing and ensuring that you make the most out pf that luggage limit.

1. Linen trousers

White, striped, black or navy a nice pair of linen trousers are a must-have staple in my closet. Linen trousers are an easy way to dress both up and down, with an added element of comfort. Pair with a tank like I have in the image above with some lining of the same colour to tie it all in and a cap for extra details. They are also great for my more modest girlies who want to cover up a bit this summer whilst still staying cool. Ideal for travelling in, linen trousers or shorts are simply a need this summer!

2. Caps

I must admit I do have an affinity for caps. Every outfit I can sneak one in I will! Caps not only protect that sensitive scalp from the sun but also add extra dimension and another fun element to your outfits, elevating them to a more polished and finished look. I like to use to sandwich method, click here to read more, which essentially means having 2 items match your main colour scheme such as your cap and pants aka ‘ the bread’ and then your top being a different colour to act as a break in-between aka ‘ the meat’. A cap is really a simple effective way to show that you are thinking about your looks but also still giving that low-effort feel.

3. Crocs Brooklyn Slides

Now, I must admit these will not be for everyone ( just like the original Crocs are not for me) but these Brooklyn Slides are the must-have sandals this summer. The perfect lift and style of a wedge combined with the comfort and practicality of Crocs. A dream come true. Just imagine yourself with a cocktail in hand and your favourite sundress, or maxi skirt or bikini ready for your day of adventuring and sunbathing, these slides go with everything. I opted for the Bone shade, which proved hard to get hold of with some circulating Depop for upwards of £70 now. Get them while you can, your feet will thank you for it!

4. Ruffle skirts

An elegant and flowy skirt just brings and elevates that holiday tan to the next level and keeps you cool throughout the heat. Perfect for a day of exploring and easy to dress up for dinner and drinks. Everyone should be bringing this staple in their luggage.

5. Bodycon dresses

A very easy but necessary option. A bodycon dress will eat every time, requiring minimum effort.
