Winter 2024 trends

Hello everyone. The air is getting colder and crisper and the layers are getting bigger and bigger. That’s right, we are now in the autumn/ winter months, which I admit can be hard to navigate outfits that keep you stylish yet warm.

1. Off the shoulder jumpers

Girls, I think we’ve all seen the TikTok trends of these jumpers all over our FYPs but honestly, they are there for a reason. These jumpers give off such a chic and winter vibe, elevating any outfit you put together this winter. They can be so easily dressed up or down with just a difference in shoes or accessories. For example, your wanting a dinner and drinks look? Add a pair of heels. Got a Christmas market date and want a cute but comfy outfit? Pair with a Ugg tassman to keep that casual look. They are trendy but timeless.

2. Long coats

Winter is one of my favourite seasons, not just because of my birthday, but because it means I can bring all my trenches out of hibernation. I love a long coat. I think all you need is one good quality coat in a neutral colour and it will just add extra depth to your outfit and make it look so cohesive and intentional whilst also staying warm. A few of my favourites are from Zara, PLT and H&M, they may be a little bit more on the pricey side however invest in one you love and you’ll wear it endlessly; saving your pockets in the long run – girl math! You can also do what I did in the picture above and tie it in a cute little bow, adding something different to your outfit.

3. Burgundy

Now a little bit different for this one as it’s just a colour but burgundy is the IT colour this autumn and winter. It’s all over my social media feeds and I bet it is yours. If you’re someone who scares easily from colour, I reckon burgundy is a good place to start. It’s close enough to a neutral whilst also being something a little bit different that could be easily paired with some staples in your closet. The richness of the colour adds that level of elegance to your outfits. My preferred choice of its inclusion is in the accessories. I love seeing it in anything from heels, tights, bags even scarves. Burgundy is the perfection addition to make your outfits that bit more fun this winter.

4. Fur

Fur has always been big in winter. It looks expensive, it keeps you warm and it simply brings a different texture. Fur coats are a huge trend right now but I also know opinions are quite divided on them. If you’re into the mob wife aesthetic then fur coats are perfect and just what you need for your wardrobe but if you want something more toned down I suggest a cute jacket like the one above. Just the simple addition of the fur on the collar and cuffs looks really chic I think. This one is from Pretty Little Thing.

5. Accessories

Winter accessories are some of my favourites. They’re so easy to add and are also practical which is a perfect combination. Winter accessory staples you need are earmuffs, gloves, and scarves. However, I also think beanies are a cute addition especially if they’re in our new trendy colour burgundy.
